Is the platform xFarm really free?

Yes! We believe that farmers have the right to experience the benefits of using digital in agriculture for free. That's why we offer a number of basic features for free, with no limit on plot size and forever!

No payment method will be required at the time of enrollment.

On what devices can I use xFarm?

xFarm can be used on all your devices. The mobile app can be used on smartphones and tablets and can be downloaded directly from the Play Store or Apple Store: this version is more accessible when you are in the field and its lightness and simplicity makes it usable even by older devices. A desktop version of xFarm is also available through which you can have a more complete view of your business. The mobile and desktop versions are always interconnected so that you are always up-to-date. Currently the mobile version is not available on Huawei with HarmonyOS operating system.

Am I forced to purchase the sensors together with PRO modules?

No! xFarm is a platform that joins both software (the modules) and hardware (sensors, telemetry devices, etc...)
Our sensor portfolio allows you to collect data automatically, accurately and efficiently, but you are free to input data manually.
Some advanced modules, such as Irrigation. Defense, Insects, mandatorily require the use of sensors, as their outputs are based on the analysis of what is happening in your fields.

Our sensors are available in different configurations and allow you to monitor various parameters:
- xNode Soil, soil moisture, and temperature sensor
- xNode Soil PRO, professional soil moisture sensor (recommended for the Irrigation module, included in the package Professional)
- xNode Electro, professional soil moisture, temperature and conductivity sensor
- xNode Multilevel, professional soil moisture sensor, temperature, and soil salinity that measures data every 10cm depth (with different lengths available)
- xNode Hydro, professional soil moisture sensor that measures soil water tension
- xNode Leaf, leaf wetness sensor (used for the Defense module)
And many more!

Why do you need the Internet to use xFarm?

xFarm is a cloud application: this allows all the workload to fall on our servers and not on your devices, with no programs to install, minimum requirements to meet, or updates to be done manually.
However, this requires the user to have an internet connection while using it.
We are working on the possibility of working offline on the mobile application, as we know that the connection in the field is not always the best, and once the internet network is available synchronize all the data entered.

xFarm Is it only suitable for farms?

Not only that! xFarm is a platform that collects data from farms, but all this information can also be used by technicians, associations, storage centers, wholesalers, workers and industries to digitize the entire supply chain through our professional services.

Can I change my password?

Yes! When logging in, click on the "Forgot Password?" item, enter theemail address associated with your account, and follow the instructions that arrived by email.

What crops are supported?

More than 400! xFarm is designed to cater for all farms, so we have hundreds of crops and thousands of different varieties.
You can manage your farm whatever your production focus is, such as cereal farming, forage farming, horticulture, fruit farming, forestry, industrial crops, and many others.
In addition, if you can't find a variety or crop, it's really quick and easy to add one by contacting our staff via chat!

What reports can I export?

With the free version of xFarm you can export in Excel or PDF format various information related to your farm. In particular you can export data related to Farm Registry, treatment list, crop plan, list of plots and cadastral parcels, list of activities, warehouse data, last warehouse movements and sensor data. All the information can be exported into detailed documents in accordance with the law, useful for inspections, notices and special declarations. In case you need specific reporting with the Pro module "Advanced Reporting," included in the Decision and Professional packages, you can obtain reports compliant with declarations for Organic protocols and GlobalGAP. To download a report you need to click on Other, Export Documents and finally select the item of interest.

Can I add my collaborators?

Yes! The xFarm platform is also designed to take advantage of communication and teamwork. Open your profile, click on settings, personal and hit the add button. You will then be able to add one of your staff members by indicating their name, email and role. If, on the other hand, you want new features for administering staff on your farm, try our premium Operations Management module

If I can't find my culture in xFarm can I create it?

The crops you find within xFarm are those listed in the CAP list, you still have the option to create and enter the variety you grow

How do I make the first imports?

The new Import Tool is coming.

Can I import data into xFarm from other databases?

With the new import tool, it can import data on fields, crops, assets, warehouses and machinery

Can I get the satellite images with the free version?

Yes with the FREE version of satellite you will receive an image related to the vigor index of your fields (NDVI), while with the PRO version, in addition to the NDVI index history, you would have access to 7 other indices:
NDRE - Advanced vigor index
SAVI - Soil-corrected vigor index
EVI - Vigor index for densely vegetated areas
LAI - Leaf cover index
NDWI - Leaf water content
CHI - Chlorophyll index
RGB - Real colors
Satellites will take a picture every 5 days (unless it is cloudy) and you will have access to all the images taken in the last 12 months, so you can also assess the change over time

Can I find a phytosanitary database at xFarm ?

You can find all the plant protection products registered in your country with the National Plant Protection Products Database

What can be imported into xFarm?

With the new import module, it is possible to import Fields and Crop, Machinery, Warehouse and Assets

If I have multiple crops in a field, can I create activities for each crop?

Certainly, in xFarm you can create subplots if there is more than one crop on a field, and when you create the activity you can indicate the portion of the field where it is carried out

In addition to the irrigation model, is there also advice on tillage to be done in the field?

It's possible to get suggestions on when to make treatments against the pests that affect your crops with the PRO Defense module

Can I create complex tracking of materials such as flower productions?

For floriculture productions, not all flower varieties are present however, it is possible to create them by entering the variety

How often are satellite images updated?

Satellites take a picture every 5 days (except with cloudy skies) with satellite PRO you can access all the pictures taken in the last 12 months.

If I have many plots can I import them from an external file?

Sure, with the import feature you can create the fields already plotted on other software.

How much do PRO packages cost?

PRO packages are sold at an annual fee per company or based on the number of paired sensors, look at the Premium Packages section of the site to see our different solutions.

How is my data used?

The data is the sole property of the farmer or farm that chooses to enter it into our platform.
At xFarm , we believe it is important that the farmer retains control of all of this information.
