Barcelona, April 26--The agricultural sector in Spain and Portugal is an important source of wealth and employment, with immense growth potential, benefiting not only the two countries but also the economy and food security of the whole of Europe.
That is why xFarm, a technology company specializing in the digitization of agriculture, which already offers its services to 90,000 farms throughout Europe and the world with a total of one million hectares tracked, has decided to offer even more support to Spanish and Portuguese farms by opening a new office in Barcelona. The country manager, Nicola Franco, has more than 10 years of experience leading companies in the sector in Spain, and will lead a local team of agronomists and digital agriculture specialists to accompany the Iberian peninsula towards Agriculture 4.0.

"Spanish and Portuguese farmers are increasingly attentive to the opportunities of Agriculture 4.0, but they also face major challenges: for example, drought and recent frosts, increasingly complex bureaucracy, and consumer demand for increasingly conscious use of inputs, especially phytosanitary products.
After years of significant growth in Europe and around the world, which have seen it collaborate with major global companies such as Lavazza (for the digitization of the coffee supply chain) and SAME Deutz-Fahr (for the development of new digital services for the agricultural machinery manufacturing industry), the technology company xFarm, created "by farmers for farmers," is ready to strengthen its presence in the Iberian market and support farms on the Iberian Peninsula in their modernization journey.
