The connection of TEYME equipment to the xFarm platform will provide farmers with important functionality to manage their farms digitally and sustainably, as well as to automate thecompilation of activities in the digital farm notebook, the application of which will be mandatory in Spain from September 1. The two companies will participate in FIMA, which will take place between Feb. 13 and 17 in Zaragoza.xFarm Technologies will be in Hall 4, Stand A1; TEYME Group in Hall 2, Nos. 11-16 via C-D.

Lleida, January 30, 2024 - TEYME Group, a company that has been active for more than forty-five years and owner of the TEYME, Solteka and Argilés brands, specializing in the development and production of crop protection and fruit and vegetable harvesting machinery, which exports to more than thirty countries, and xFarm Technologies, a leading technology company in the digitization of the agribusiness sector that supports the work of 300.000 farms belonging to more than fifty supply chains totaling 3 million hectares, present in Spain and Portugal through xFarm Technologies Iberia, have entered into a partnership under the banner of digital agriculture, efficiency and sustainability.

United by their vision of an increasingly connected, sustainable and productiveagriculture that delivers higher quality products, the two companies have decided to join forces by integrating TEYME equipment into the digital ecosystem xFarm. On the one hand, this will enable farmers to visualize equipment data-primarily plant protection product distribution data and equipment operation data-in the application xFarm; on the other hand, it will enable them to take advantage of advanced agronomic management functions, as well as automate the recording of activities in the digital field notebook, as the activities performed by the equipment will be recorded automatically. In other words through a single platform farmers will have essential tools to make their farms more efficient and innovative, in line with new regulatory requirements and the challenges of the future.

"TEYME Group is an excellence in the OEM sector, not only in Spain, but also at the European level. For us at xFarm Technologies, collaborating with a player of this caliber is a privilege, because it allows us to improve interoperability and offer even more advanced solutions to farms, especially fruit and wine farms. In addition to a system for compiling the digital farm notebook, we want to offer a true digital management tool that can also integrate farm equipment data. This partnership will allow us to fully exploit-through our AI algorithms and know-how-the mass of data generated by TEYME equipment, which are important data hubs on many farms. Training work with TEYME Group distributors and outreach work with model farms, crucial players in bringing innovation to the territory," explains Nicola Franco, Country Manager of xFarm Technologies Iberia.

Data interoperability as added value

In a fragmented technological environment, working toward greater interconnection of the machinery and equipment fleet with the rest of the farm is a real necessity. The risk, otherwise, is that of compartmentalized data management, which can lead to difficulties in complying with the bureaucratic requirements of the digital farm notebook, which will be mandatory as of Sept. 1. The end result of the interconnection of the equipment-which will use the telemetry solutions already implemented by TEYME-will be greater control of farm machinery activity; greater efficiency in farm management; simplified management of the digital farm notebook integrated with the Sistema de Información de Explotaciones Agrícolas(SIEX); optimization of agronomic inputs; maximization of crop efficiency; and greater profitability for the farm. The partnership between xFarm Technologies and TEYME Group will begin this year:initially it will cover Spain and Portugal, and then expand to other brands and markets where TEYME Group is a leader. The two companies will participate in FIMA, which will take place between February 13 and 17 inSaragossa. xFarm Technologies will be in Hall 4, booth A1; TEYME Group in Hall 2, No. 11-16 via C-D.
