May 22, 2025 - SaMASZ and xFarm Technologies are launching an ambitious five-year digitalisation project set to transform Polish agriculture and bring it into the era of Agriculture 4.0. As one of Europe’s agricultural powerhouses, Poland stands to benefit from cutting-edge technology that will help farmers operate more sustainably, efficiently, and profitably. On top of that, SaMASZ machines will gain smart new capabilities—and their purchase will be eligible for funding dedicated to innovation in agriculture. Based in Zabłudów, SaMASZ is a world leader in the production and sale of high-quality agricultural and municipal machines, while xFarm Technologies is a Swiss tech company and a European leader in the digitalisation of agriculture, with a strong presence in South America, whose Farm Management Information System (FMIS) supports the work of more than 500,000+ farms belonging to over 100 supply chains on more than 8,6 million hectares worldwide.

In the context of agricultural machinery, digitalisation is essential for monitoring machines, analysing their operation, collecting data to optimise their use and predicting maintenance needs in advance. SaMASZ is already a leading player in the agricultural sector, both in Poland and internationally, where it also operates through its subsidiaries in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Its equipment and machines, such as disc mowers, tedders, rakes, flail mowers, extension arms, extension arm attachments, snow plows, and tractor sweepers are exported to more than 70 countries around the world, making farmers' work easier and helping them to produce high-quality forage.

The digitalisation provided by xFarm Technologies will increase the efficiency and global competitiveness of SaMASZ machines, by enabling them to meet the latest market demands. The Swiss tech company will provide its Polish partner with a customized version of its advanced SaaS system, offering the full range of xFarm platform capabilities, and connect SaMASZ Isobus machines, disc mowers, tedders and rakes.

And as SaMASZ has always had a strong focus on innovation, xFarm Technologies will develop for them also a diagnostic platform that will provide SaMASZ's R&D department with useful data to further improve its machines. The Swiss tech company will also support SaMASZ in the development of its products in all the markets in which it operates, and in carrying out trials on its model farms internationally.

"Excellence and innovation are two key words for SaMASZ, whose machines compete with the best brands on an international level. That's why we're excited about this project, which will allow us to contribute to the further growth of a company that, like xFarm Technologies, believes strongly in the power of digitalisation, AI and new technologies in general to make farmers' work easier and their farms more sustainable," said Karol Czerwiak, Business Manager Poland at xFarm Technologies.

"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to participate in a digitalisation project that will put the best of the technology and solutions developed by xFarm Technologies at the service of SaMASZ, a forward-looking family-owned company that has always put technology and innovation at its core," said Pier Alberto Gobbo, Head of European Markets at xFarm Technologies.

"This project is a further step forward in the digitalisation of SaMASZ hay handling equipment, enabling the monitoring of machine operation in terms of use, performance and diagnostics. The aggregated data will allow a comprehensive assessment of machine efficiency throughout the season. The future development of artificial intelligence mechanisms will pave the way for the evaluation of forage in terms of composition and nutritional value, ensuring adequate supply at well-defined times," said Piotr Cebeliński, Sales Director Poland at SaMASZ.

So far, the two companies have been working together on a pilot project to connect three categories of SaMASZ machines, which has been very successful. That is why they have decided to launch this five-year project and take their cooperation to a global level, covering all the markets where SaMASZ operates, starting with the most important ones, such as Poland, Germany, the United States, Canada, France, Ireland, Latvia, Italy, Australia, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
