Milan, July 7, 2025 - The project of Plasmon, a brand of the Kraft-Heinz Group that has been producing baby food for more than 120 years, dedicated to the traceability and sustainability of its supply chain continues and strengthens thanks to the renewal of its collaboration with xFarm Technologies, a tech company that aims to digitize the agribusiness sector. The agreement with xFarm Technologies launched in 2021 and now renewed until 2027, aims at a complete digitization of the grain supply chain, thus improving its monitoring and consequently enabling choices that increase its sustainability.
How it works. The project was born with the involvement of more than 80 realities located between Emilia-Romagna and Umbria, for a total of 1,200 cultivated hectares. The conferring farmers were invited to enter a series of data on the digital platform, through which the entire crop cycle can be monitored: from pre-sowing till harvesting, through sowing, fertilization and defense. The information thus collected is then processed, with the aim of providing farmers with detailed reporting for the purpose of improving the quality and safety of their production, as well as ensuring more efficient and sustainable resource management.
The collaboration between Plasmon and xFarm Technologies represents a strategic partnership, which is part of the broader ecosystem of the Oasis in Growth® Plasmon, the program of selection and control of the production chain of raw materials used in the production of Plasmon baby food. The decision to move to digitalize the supply chain is a natural consequence of the brand's desire to continue pursuing its environmental sustainability goals throughout the supply chain.
