The Podere Palazzo winery was founded 12 years ago, at the initiative of Cesare Trevisani and his sons, in order to put the vineyard surrounding the manor house to good use. As of today, the winery consists of 10 hectares lying on the first hills of Cesena, in the middle of Romagna. Production focuses on two grape varieties indigenous to the area: Sangiovese and Trebbiano. The 12 labels offered by the winery, in addition to several DOCs, include three bubbles: a Classic Method and a Charmat Method.
Our priority is to ensure as much continuity as possible in the quality of production, consistent with natural annual variability, so that customers always find the same wine on the table.
We intend to develop the farm by taking advantage of new technologies and with a keen eye on sustainability, both in the field and in the winery. In particular, the winery has decided to convert production to organic and to introduce digitization into the farm management system by relying on the platform of xFarm.
xFarm allows us to collect all field data on a single platform and optimize production while maintaining a high level of product quality.
By entering the data into the company's overall control system, we can overall keep costs under control and optimize the use of resources.
With xFarm we can keep a constant eye on the activities carried out in the field in the field, both in terms of the use of inputs such as fertilizer and water, and in identifying the best times at which to carry out various operations in the field. As a result, we are able to optimize time, decrease production costs, and ensure consistency in the quality of the final product for our customers.
