Hanover, 15 November 2023 – Dinamica Generale, a leading designer and manufacturer of electronic solutions and sensors in the field of weighing and NIR analysis, and xFarm Technologies, a leading tech company in the digitalization of agriculture, have signed an innovative partnership focused on a crucial issue for the agricultural sector, and in particular for the livestock supply chain: increasing efficiency in the management of animal feed rations. The partnership between the two companies will mean that mixer wagon manufacturers will get significant help to develop new and effective smart feeding management solutions. The aim is to help improve animal welfare and make animal husbandry more efficient and economically viable using new, cutting-edge technology.
The partnership brings together Dinamica Generale's flagship product, the innovative DTM platform, and the xFarm platform's high capacity for data analysis and agricultural management support. This is thanks to an integration that will finally allow all ration information to be visualised on the xFarm platform and, based on this data, act to optimise the rations.
It is a significant development for animal husbandry. This sector is a pillar of European exports and of many agrifood chains, but it is facing increasing international competition and new challenges. Installed on the mixer wagons, the sensors produced by Dinamica Generale (e.g. the load cells that allow the weighing of the mixer wagons or the NIR sensor for the qualitative analysis of rations) collect data that are displayed by the controllers, also installed on the mixer wagons; they transmit them to the DTM platform, whose integration with xFarm will make it possible not only to improve the rations from a qualitative point of view but also to assess their suitability in quantitative terms, so as to better calibrate the distribution of feed for the animals.
