We are in the company of Dario Cabianca, owner of Bianca Società Agricola in Grisignano di Zocco, a farm that, with 80 lactating animals, produces 10,000 quintals of milk a year and cultivates a hundred acres planted with cereals and fodder.
We have been collaborating with xFarm for a year now. We started with the installation of the weather station, which gave us good results right away, allowing us to keep an eye on what was happening weather-wise. Now we have decided to continue with all their management systems, from monitoring machinery to recording the activities carried out in the field, so that we have a complete field notebook, with all the data on the work and operations carried out on the crops.
Because it makes it possible to record everything conveniently from a app on the phone, so with a device that we always have at our fingertips even during while we are doing the work. That way we're sure that we don't miss anything, there's no risk of procrastination and forgetting to enter data, because I'm already doing it in real time while I'm working.
Certainly collecting data in real time greatly simplifies the work of those who have to manage and, subsequently, control it. In addition, it allows, over the years, to obtain increasingly accurate and constantly updated statistics on the activities carried out, so that better decisions can be made regardingala business management.
In recent years we have invested so much in facilities and technology, we will continue. We have just completed a new raw material storage facility, we have installed and will expand a photovoltaic system. However, what we are concerned about, as a company, is to make 100 percent use of what we already have, so bring home the maximum yield: this increase in efficiency is also possible thanks to digital.
Soon, we will also add, within our account xFarm, the module for the management of the livestock part, so as to have the complete management of the farm in a single app.
